How do I launch my website that is installed in a subdirectory?
If you installed liveSite in a sub-directory (e.g. http://192.168.0.1/~example/sub-directory/ or http://example.example.com/sub-directory/), then you should move liveSite into your web root. Please follow the instructions first for moving liveSite to a different directory and then launch your liveSite.
If you have been accessing liveSite at an IP address with a user directory (e.g. http://192.168.0.1/~example/), then comment out the RewriteBase line in the .htaccess file in the web root by placing a "#" character at the beginning of the line.
"Over the last three and a half months I've built demo sites on Google Sites, Zoho Sites, WIX, SquareSpace, WordPress, Webflow, Jigsy, Joomla, Concrete5, DNN, and I have also built intranets and databases on Webexone. It appears as though I have found a perfect solution to accommodate ALL my criteria with liveSite!" — Shawn
