System Pages

Started May 14, 2011 by nickfinan

How do you edit content that is in the system pages. For example, I am trying to edit the example text on the page member-login-register-confirmation which gives a button that links people back to the homepage. I have looked thru stuff to see how I can change it. Help!!

How do I move/resize contents? For example, moving the ads around and site header.

Many thanks for your help.

Menu Drop Down problem

Started May 12, 2011 by jazzydanz

I don't understand why the drop down menus buttons behave the way they do. When the submenus drop down they are either causing the whole menu to expand the header region and then relocate the other menu buttons or they drop down and the submenu items cannot be clicked on because the next main menu button takes precedence.

I am using the circles theme.

Is there something wrong with the javascript or code?

Thanks

Special Pages

Started May 11, 2011 by nickfinan

Hi Guys.

I plan on having page/s on my site that will allow clients to order images at certain sizes. I dont want to have to list 8x10s framed, unframed etc etc, I would rather have the heading being 8x10 with drop down boxes for 10-15 sizes and 10-15 finishes. Each image I will have stored on Coppermine would need to be linked to the order and pricing page within my LiveSite which I could do myself with simple links but once on the LiveSite part of the website I would need the drop down boxes etc which would then link to my checkout etc.
Sounds complicated but I know what I mean and if you need clarification I will gladly try and write this again.
What I would like is a price from you guys for creating a page that I can duplicate as need be with all the drop down boxes and all linked to the checkout process. HELP!! Nick:(

Any chance to be close for a Livesite upgrade to work with PHP 5.3?

Started May 9, 2011 by msalles

As it is for me, it is not important yet, because my host provider still work with PHP 5.2. Also know that it is due to lack of ZendOptimizer upgrade to PHP 5.3.

Just want to know if it is considered as a possible near to solve issue because sooner or later webhosts will shift to PHP 5.3 and, frankly... LiveSite is great.

thanks in advance for any response.

Catalog Detail error

Started May 9, 2011 by Timmy714

Hi,

I set the page type to "catalog detail"
I set system region to either "use page" or "catalog detail" page

but I get an error
"Error: The product group or product could not be found."

I have 3 product groups and 9 products.
The products and groups shows up when it is in "catalog" page but NOT "catalog detail" page.

Why is this?

Thanks!

Trying to install/add an email opt-in form to homepage

I am using Aweber software for email marketing, and would like to install/add an email opt-in form to my homepage. They use Java Script & HTML version I need to know which one do you support? Also where can I find the body tags for my homepage, so I can copy/paste to that page. Aweber support says the only way it will work is to copy it into the body tags area. After several attempts it has fell to work.

Chat button placement with Service Plan

Started May 9, 2011 by designpub

Hi Support,

On this page: http://www.tmgmediadirect.com/pages/home_testing_chat, I have the chat button placed with the other buttons on the page. (next to the bottom, newsletter button).

All that I did, was add the button in that location.

It currently shows OFFLINE, even though I have logged in as an operator.

We do have the chat service plan with AliveChat. I have also uploaded the ONLINE button and selected the ONLINE and OFFLINE images on the settings page.

What more do I need to do, to make this work, please?

Do I add a link to the button? Where are the instructions for this please?

elizabeth

/livesite/ folder appearing in URL

Started May 9, 2011 by designpub

Hi Support,

On all of the sites that we host ourselves, with LiveSite installed, when you are on the login page, and click on either of the links Forgot Password, or Change Password, the name of the folder /livesite/ appears in the path of the URL.

Is there anyway that can be changed to remove the name LiveSite?

What about after the fact, as I now have several completed sites with this issue.

Thank you.
