installing SSL certificate

I would like to take a stab at installing the certificate myself. I have the code, but i'm not sure where to place it and if there is a way to place it once and have it show up on all pages universally.

If i could get some info on this i'd appreciate it.

transfring file to a different server

Hi;
Due to the fact it was my first website I had created with livesite for a friend of mine I end up having problems with the transfer I had read the form and backup my files however I could not transfer the files and also now I have this problem with the old server where the file was located
Error: Connection failed.
The administrator can turn on Verbose Database Errors in the settings in order to see more information about this error the next time it occurs.
I know it has something to do with database permission or something else what would be your advise for restoring my database or all the files would you let me know please.

Buy the way I have hostgatror resale account that is my domain for my website and the file was suppose to be transferred within the same server under different IP address, would that made the difference.

transfering files to a new server

I have my website setup finally working very well for the first time using the applications. I have one issue now and do not know how to resolve it I have a resale account with host gator and eveything was working well until I try to transfer my new client website to his cpanel I had red your instructions and backup my files however I must of doing something wrong for loosing the livesite database for this website and hostgator technicians could not restore I have my login and all passward for the database including the key number to the config.php could you tell me what step I should take to restore my files again and is it possible just to setup again in the new sever that I have setup would please reply back soon I have a client that need to review this late afternoon thank you in advance for your help.

Creating a new folder for the Photo Gallery

Please excuse the newbie question but I am at a loss to figure out how to create a new folder, specifically one for the Photo Gallery. Documentation has a section called "Create\Edit Folders" but while it is clear how to edit them, it isn't clear on how to create them in the first place. I've had no problem using folders or modifying them or adding files to them but I want to add a few more folders to be under the Photo Gallery. Any ideas?

How to limit the information sent back to email from a form

I have a site that has a donation form. Part of the form elements are the steps outlining how to contribute. It includes graphics and some text. When the form is submitted the reciept comes back with all of the form elements including the graphics and explanitory text. Is there a way just to send back the fields that were filled in and not the rest of the elements? I have to print out the forms when emailed back and it prints on 2 pages. I would like it to only print on one page.

How to create a new forum

The tutorial for "Craete a forum" shows how to add a new thread and a new comment under Food Forum but didn't tell how to create a new forum. I have been frustrated with creating forums with a number of different topics. The new thread I created under one topic of forum went to all the forums. I must have done something wrong.

In additon, the Tutorial for "Create a forum" shows a better format of the forum layout. But in the latest 7.1 version, I have no clue how to create a desired format with columns and lines as shown in the tutorial.

Your instruction on solving above two issues would be greatly appreciated!!

I want to create a link from one page to a specific section of a second page that contains sequenced lesson content for my students. That way they can easily review or preview related lesson materials by simply scrolling up or down, and I won't need to create lots of individual pages. So is there a way that I can tack an anchor on the end of a link so that it will take the user to the desired location on the second page? I have a system region (upcoming events widget) on the homepage; I want the public calendar events to show up in this area as a scrolling list.

Permissions Question

Is there a way to grant permission to a Blog editor where this editor will only have access to the Blog Form and then the Forms tab to see or edit existing blog entries?

We don't want to give access to this blog editor for any other pages within the site, yet we want this person to have access to everything pertaining to the blog, images to place within the blog and editing existing blog entries.

Can you tell me how to set that up? Do I need to create new folders for this type of access?

Currently, the role is "User," and I'm giving access to the staff directory with this box checked:
"Also allow User to access submitted form data for selected folders"

However, when she is logged in, and clicks on the forms tab, she cannot see her blog entries.

Any suggestions?
