Redesigning our website!

Posted by sflores on August 27, 2010

Is there any one program that works best with liveSite? Is there any benefit from using Dreamweaver or Frontpage or simply designing in photoshop? I want to choose something that correspondes best with liveSite but I really don't know what the best choice would be. Any advice or suggestions?

Sherry,

We suggest using liveSite's built-in Style & Theme Designers to actually build your HTML and CSS. Also, we suggest using Photoshop, Illustrator, InkScape or Gimp to do the actual design.

Thank you,

As a LIveSite designer/developer, I use Dreamweaver/Fireworks for building the template code. Fireworks is pretty much an industry standard. Although I work for multiple companies, and one major company provides designs from Photoshop, I still take those into Fireworks, and use the behaviors, slices and any code generated from Fireworks. I just find it faster, and easier to use.
