TRACKING SHIPPING WITH NEW UPDATE

I wanted to confirm how the new tracking works in the system. Do we just enter the UPS tracking code into the order page field and save? Do we need to set up anything else or is it that simple?

Can you please give me a run down of exactly how it works from our end and our customers end? I'd like to start using it asap.

Yes, that's it! Add the tracking number to the saved order and the customer can see it when they click on "View" Order within the Order History section of the My Account Page. You can also update the number shipped so you can easily split shipments and add additional tracking numbers of necessary.

We will be putting tutorial videos together for all the new features as soon as we launch the official release of liveSite v8.

Sounds great. Will the system also email the customer to let them know that they can check that section of their account once i save it into the order? If not that would be great so that i don't have to email them separately.

No, it doesn't automatically because there are to many different senarios for each store, product, and order. However, you should put a message on your Order Receipt page instructing them to check their My Account page for updates.
