Calendar Views

Posted by EtaPhiBeta VIP on May 22, 2012

I have multiple calendars for registered members but I don't want the members to be able to add or publish to them. How can I make it so that they can only view the calendars after logging in but not make any edits?

Only Users (including Members) that you specifically give calendar editing privileges too can add or edit calendars, so by default a Member would not have that right.

See Editing Users in Help for more details.

But what if I only want them to view the calendar and not to add or edit the calendars?

Just place a Calendar Page into a liveSite Folder they have access too. See Folders in Help for more details.

But would that make it public or would it still remain private in the members area? The calendar's need to stay private in the member's only area.

If you place the Page with the Calendar on it into a Membership Folder, only Members will be able to view the Page.
