Localhost Installation

Are there specific installation instructions for using localhost?
I want to use wamp and build my site before loading to my online server.

No, but be sure to install the Zend Optimizer too. Good luck!

I am a novice. Mybe I should ask; will Livesite work on a localhost? If so, is there any guidance? What does Zend Optimizer do to enhance the process.

liveSite can be installed on a localhost, we do it all the time. The why's and how's are addressed in the Installation area of our Knowledge Base.
