Problem with System Regions

I doing a migration of a long-running large website (pre Theme/Style Designer) to a new Theme and styles made with the Page Style Designer and Theme Designer.

Migration has gone very well until I started check pages that have embedded applications. Specifically, I found a problem Order Forms and Membership Entrance page-types. This is "so far" because I only just discovered this.

The problem appears to be with the System Region. System Regions seem to ignor the settings in the Theme Designer and overlay into the Page Regions and System Regions above.

Strangely, the page will look okay until you go into "edit mode" and the overlay of the System Region blocks editing of the page Regions underneath.

I've check both Page Style Designer and Theme Designer and everything seems to be proper.

I'm a bit lost. Any ideas?

If the "edit mode" dashed lines overlay each other, then there is most likely a missing closing </div> tag in one of your content regions on the Page. Try creating a new page (don't duplicate), and assign it to the same page style and see if the overlay occurs.

Yes, this was the first thing I tried when I found the problem. It is repeatable.

Also, I should have added, not all pages look okay. On some pages, the system region begins in the header. Seems like the system region is ignoring it order in the Page Style and starting in higher areas of the page.

It is nearing the end of you day so I going to use the evening do some more testing and see what I can isolate. I'll make some screenshots and open a Private Conversation and send you a ZIP with the images.

So far, it seems to be occur on page types other than Standard that use the System Region with your embedded apps.

I'll write up my testing but find that this appears to be ageneralized problem on all 1-column page styles regardless of page type used.

The problem is perfectly repeatable on any 1-column page.

I'll send my write up and the screen shots in a private conversation.

As a check, I tried a totally different website and found the same problem with 1-column page stylesn the different site as well. This site has been stable for over a year and this issue must have recently pop up. On this different site, the Page Styles and the Theme haven't been modified for over a year. Most pages are 2-column where the problem doesn't show up so this has gone undetected.

As the problem exists now, to even get to one of the Page Regions to edit it, I have to set set the Page Style to a 2-column design, do the edit and then change the Page Style back to a 1-column.

Issue in v7.3?
