Error Message

Posted by greg VIP on May 4, 2012

Hi,

Here is a note from one of our administrators:

I have had this problem with LiveSite several times in a row over a 2 week period. I am unable to upload a new document and hyperlink it. I get the error message below. I’ve tried everything I can think of to try to fix it, log out and log back in, refresh page, etc. Not sure what is going on.

We're Sorry.

Error: Sorry, we could not accept your request because it appears that your session expired. We recommend that you go back <javascript:history.go(-1)> and try again. If the problem persists you might need to refresh the page after you go back.

Seems this coincided with the recent Livesite update. Any additional suggestions?

Greg

Yes, liveSite v8 is more forceful in requiring login again after a long idle time for tighter security. Here's what you can do:

1) Refresh their browser as the message indicates.

2) If that doesn't work, log out of liveSite and then close the browser application and relaunch it (not just closing the window/tab).

3) If that doesn't work, they can clear their browser's cache.

Once of these methods will work. It's also a good idea that they also begin logging out of liveSite before stepping away from their computer for a long period of time.
