Custom Forms

I have created a form that is for taking information from clients and when I test it I get an error message telling me that I am already a member but they are not yet set up or given a member id.

I want the form to be filled out by Staff only but it is not a membership form. It is to take deeper information on existing clients so I am trying to link information to contact information.

Do I set the client up as a user first or do I not?

If your Custom Form has fields that "Connect to Contact", then the data in the fields is populated and saved in the Contact of the User submitting the Custom Form so you can't be logged in with your User and submit the form or it will change your own Contact in liveSite.

You will need to have each client complete the form after they login/register. Your staff will not be able to do this for them unless they login/register on each client's behalf first.

So,
1. A Staff member creates the user then
2. Logs in as the client and fills out the form

I will try this.
